Succeeding the pictorial modernity of the Independence of Morocco (1956) brought by the advent of abstraction and the incorporation of the cultural heritage of signs (Cherkaoui, Gharbaoui or Melehi), a new generation of artists claims painting as a subject and invents new pictorial universes freed from cultural heritage.
