This exhibition will mark a rare occasion that multiple works from SFMOMA’s media arts collection will be on view outside of the revered institution in San Francisco, California, infamous in part for having one of the preeminent collections of media arts work in the world. This exhibition at Borusan Contemporary is the exclusive presentation of the show specifically selected for the unique location and perspective of the Borusan Contemporary Art Museum who shares the unique commitment to artists who work with technology in their artistic practice.
The exhibition will feature major historical and contemporary media arts installation by artists such as Bill Viola, Steina Vasulka, Doug Hall and Jeremy Blake. The works presented feature many important installations utilizing technologies both high and low - from massive projection and software based animation to massive stacks of television monitors.
