Equinor Art programme (EAP), which features more than 1400 contemporary art works, originally focused on Norwegian art of all disciplines. Over a period of 10 years, from 2009-2019, the collection was broadened with international art, especially photo and new media.

Since 2019, the collection strategy has shifted back to where we started, and the company aims to create a distinctive, coherent, and internationally recognized art programme by building and showing a significant collection of Norwegian contemporary art, concentrated on artworks from 1972 to the present day. It collaborates to create exhibitions, publications and learning events to engage in contemporary art and culture, support the practices of artists and contribute to the benefit of the work environment of the company.
