TD Bank Art & Corporate Archive Collections
When the TD Art Collection was founded in 1963, it was premised on the idea that art is a catalyst for creating conversations and enriching the lives of TD colleagues, clients and customers. Today, this remains our guiding principle as the TD Corporate Art Collection continues to evolve, with a focus on creating conversation and the goal of amplifying voices aligned to the bank's shared values. At TD, we believe that art and culture play a pivotal role in building strong and inclusive communities. Since foundation, our guiding principle has been that art is a catalyst for dialogue, enabling us all to see more of the world around us. Art and culture in the workplace offer motivation and connection to others. This is what moves us to continue working towards a targeted curatorial approach that creates connections and inspires meaningful relationships
In 1976, the TD Archives Department was founded to identify, acquire, and preserve the administrative and historical records that document the Bank’s people, products, and services. The Archives is uniquely positioned to recognize and tell the stories of the contributions that colleagues have made to the organization over the years.
The TD Art and Corporate Heritage Archive Collections – known internally as "TD Art & Archives" – are a collaborative unit of professional art historians, curators, collection management, project managers and finance administrators serving the Enterprise. By leveraging these collections through unique, colleague-facing art and heritage exhibitions and engagement activations across Globe, we seek to create accessible experiences, expanding perceptions of contemporary art, heritage and culture. The Team are building collections that bring issues of diaspora, race, gender, and identity to the forefront, and preserving the Bank's corporate heritage for the future generations
